Muziek met verhalen erdoorheen gewoven, op een locatie in Oegstgeest (adres wordt gedeeld na het bestellen van een kaartje). Bestellen kan HIER

Sōncraeft is a new and colourful classical vocal ensemble comprised of five women (perhaps you already know our first alto, Maite Cathérine de Wit, as the lead Plumpudding Singer at Ashley Ramsden’s ‘A Christmas Carol’!)
They will weave music and stories together in a fun, theatrical and intimate event at a private, historic home in the centre of the village of Oegstgeest.
DISC is excited to have them perform two sessions on one day: a teatime concert at 16h and an evening session at 19h30.
Come along for tales and tunes drawn from our spoken and written cultural heritage, casting different lights on the idea of being a woman.
We will hear music 🎶 by Claudio Monteverdi, Catharina van Rennes, Ola Gjeilo, Edvard Grieg, Howard Skempton, Robert Schumann, and more. With a fire gently burning in the hearth, let yourself fall under the spell of sounds from hundreds of years ago, up to the twenty-first century.
Woven in between are stories of three women who were really good at spinning flax, Tennyson's Princess (who was too busy fighting for educational rights to worry about marrying a prince), and a woman who was so tired of doing the dishes she couldn't wait to die and go to heaven.
In the week before the event, we will send you all the relevant information by email; exact location and parking possibilities. Since the concert is in a private residence, this information is not shared publicly.
Also good to know:
The location is wheelchair accessible, and the venue is reachable by public transport from Leiden. We look forward to seeing you!
